Corporate Event Photography at the Nuclear South West Conference in Bristol
Life as a Corporate Event Photographer
Over the course of my photography career I have been fortunate to have built up strong connections with small and large corporate clients across the South West and beyond. I really enjoy the responsibility and trust that companies across a wide spectrum of industries put in me to deliver their corporate photography. I am often asked to photograph conferences and seminars so the client can have a record for future use both in print and digital. In todays fast paced world of instant news this particular Nuclear South West conference held at the Marriott hotel in Bristol required me to upload images instantly so they could be used across social media platforms. It can be imperative that clients receive their images as fast as possible so as to engage with their wider audience.
During the course of the one or two day seminar / conference I am always looking for new angles to shoot. In some cases there is literally only one position for you to photograph due to space and logistics but If it’s possible I always like to take up different positions to give my clients interesting perspectives of the event. A typical day photographing a conference doesn’t just start and stop with the speakers on stage. There are usually other networking events that the client would like captured as was the case below. There can also be small exhibitions with a chance for businesses to show off their products, make sales and network.
I’ve recently come across a great article on The Beginners Guide to Event Photography written by the great guys and girls at Pixpa. It’s well worth a read for some useful hints and tips.
