Having had to reschedule their wedding from earlier this year because of lockdown Lucy & Isaac finally tied the knot at New Life Church in Congleton, Cheshire. With their family and friends present the ceremony was a wonderful show of love and togetherness. The service was also live streamed for those that were unable to attend from around the world.
After the bride and groom ran through the confetti tunnel of love it was back to a family members garden for the evening reception. My wedding photography takes me all over the country and has enabled me to document large weddings with hundreds of guests and smaller mircroweddings with just a handful of people. Each one is completely unique and special which is what I love about wedding photography!
Holding a wedding reception in a garden doesn’t mean you can’t have speeches, a sit down meal, cake cutting, dancing or creative wedding portraits! With Isaac and his family being Greek the meal was a delicious Greek feast that went down a treat. The speeches took place on the patio just as the sun was setting and the first dance was the catalyst for the guests to create some crazy shapes! I love the challenge of creating great portraits in sometimes limited spaces. With a little bit of thinking outside the box I was able to come up with some creative images simply by using the natural environment around me. I even managed to squeeze in a large group shot! Garden weddings are simply awesome, what a wonderful wedding day!
